Dr. Joyce McNickles is a college professor and social justice educator.  She has taught courses in workplace diversity, social inequality, social work, sociology, and multicultural education at Anna Maria College and Westfield State College.  She has a M.Ed. in Social Justice from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and an Ed.D in Adult Education and Social Change from National-Louis University, Chicago. 

Joyce’s teaching expertise includes racial identity theory and development, multicultural adult development, anti-oppression theory, and cultural competence.
